About Me

Most people who are reading this probably already know too much about me. For those of you who don’t:

My name is David Stippick. I am 24 years old, and I am a sophomore at Howard Payne University in Brownwood, Texas. I moved here in the fall of 2010 after a few years of ignoring God, and a year of serving in New Orleans as a Mission Year team member. I love this city, and look forward to the time I will be spending here.

I have six brothers and sisters (we were NOT all in the house at the same time), they are: Brandi, Rob, Cat, Joe, (me), Liz, Thomas (oldest to youngest). I have four nephews and three neices: Will, Nicole, Kane, Jude, Daniel, Eden, Tiffany. I have two moms. Sara. Trish. My dad died when I was 15. This was a major event that helped shape me into the man you see (kind of) before you today.

I accepted Christ on August 16th 2004, I was 16. This is the other major event that has helped shape me into a man who desires to serve Christ in any way shape or form. I have surrendered to God’s call on my life to pursue full time ministry. I don’t know what that looks like, but I know that is what I was made to do. Until I took a job at Austin Baptist Church a few summers ago I was attending First Baptist Church of Georgetown in Georgetown, Tx. It’s a great church, and I thank everyone there who poured into my life for the past seven years. I currently serve as the college ministry intern at First Baptist Church of Brownwood. In addition: I sometimes talk about starting non-profs that never see existence.

Why am I writing a blog? I genuinely (love that buzzword for one…) feel that God has gifted me to be able to reach people with my words, both written and spoken, and I see this as a great way to do that. There will probably only be a handful of people who read this. That’s ok. So I guess we’ll see what this can be.

P.S.: Let’s be clear about something. The things I say here are in no way the attitudes/policies/thoughts/anything like that of ABC, FBCgT, Mission Year, FBC Brownwood or any other organizations I have or will mention here or work for. They are my own. Treat them as such.

Grace & Peace,
Stippick
