Friday Night Lights

Here’s what you need to know.

  1. Friday Night Lights is absolutely one of the best shows on television.
  2. It is in its last season.

Seriously though. The characters are incredibly…like you and I. They are the people who live down the street from you. They are the people you work with. They are the people who go to school with. This makes the incredibly likable. This helps you be able to relate more to them, and gets you wrapped up in their stories. This is what good television is all about.

If you don’t already, I strongly encourage you watch this series. All of the seasons are on Netflix, and I’m sure you can buy them somewhere as well. Give this show a chance. You won’t be disappointed.

Day 4

I’m not going to lie to you. The best part about Day Four of the 40 Days of Water with blood:water mission for me was finding out that this deal is a 6 days on, 1 day off deal. I have no idea how I missed that, but it seriously may have been the highlight of my week to find that out. I’m not saying I’m gonna go bananas on stuff that isn’t water on the day off…but yeah, it’ll be a nice break for sure. Maybe that means I’m weak, but…I don’t think I care.

There’s honestly not a whole lot more to report as far as anything related to my 40 Days journey. I did go for a bike ride today instead of a run, for those of you who are following that little story line. Not really sure which is more beneficial for you…but I don’t guess I care that much. I’ve done more voluntary consecutive days of physical activity in the last three days than I’ve done…probably ever. Seriously. And physically feels awful right now. But morally it’s a big one.

Here’s lookin’ at you Wednesday!

God = Love

God Is Love. That, is truth.

I was on Facebook the other day, and read in the quote section on the page of a friend of mine this quote: “The world moves for love. It kneels before it in awe.” (This was said by Edward Walker, the character played by William Hurt in the movie The Village.)

When I read it I couldn’t get out of my head where John talks about God being the definition of love. To be fair I didn’t know where it was exactly, but I remembered that scripture, and couldn’t stop thinking about it. So I traveled all the way to my friendly neighborhood http://www.biblegateway.com/, and typed in God is love. When I found the reference (1st John 4) I went and just read for a while.

God is working in my life. I don’t know what He is doing, but I know He will never be done, there will just be different chapters of it in my life. Right now, He is teaching me to love everyone the way He does regardless of who they are, or my personal feelings towards them. Trust me…this is going to be a very long work in progress, there will not be an over night change, but I know this is something in my life that needs to be made right with God.

God IS love.
